OnlineJourno is built privacy-first. We collect as little as possible, and we do not track individuals.
Analytics — cookieless, no personal data
This site uses Umami, a privacy-respecting, open-source analytics tool that we self-host. It:
- sets no cookies;
- collects no personal data and does not fingerprint or identify visitors;
- honours your browser’s Do Not Track setting;
- stores only aggregate, anonymous usage counts (page views, referrers, country) on our own server.
We do not use Google Analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party data brokers.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or share data.
- We don’t build profiles of visitors.
- We don’t embed third-party tracking pixels or ad networks.
The application
Newsrooms using the OnlineJourno application (app.onlinejourno.com) own their own data. Where a newsroom self-hosts, their data stays on their own infrastructure entirely. Account information (name, email) is used only to operate the service and is never sold or shared.
Your choices & contact
